Ok it's been quiet here for some time, the main reason is lack of time. But for Round 7 is a story, here it is. The round featured Ferencvaros (human) vs FC Porto (computer). This time it was the teams from the Swos 96/97 data, no updates. In my opinion I think it's good to use that data, the updates can be used in cup. Porto has (if you ask me) the best team of all in Swos ! I think they have a perfect mix of players, skills and prices. The substitute players are also very good. All the forwards are fast and has good shooting-skills. Too bad that was the team to play against ;-) The team to play with Ferencvaros are also a pretty good team. If you play with them in Hungarian league they are winning everything. I choosed to line up the team as 4-4-2 (rather uncommon for me). In fact I only replaced one midfielder and used 3 forwards instead of two. One forward I used as offesive midfielder. The result of the match was 6-1, (I also had a 5-0 but...). Maybe it'll be enough to beat Kroko, but I'm not sure. After all he came from div 1 and I came from div 4 :-) |

Round number 3 has been played ! Two english teams this time, they were updated... but rather strage. Bolton (computer) and Preston (player). Both teams had very high skills and stars. I think the reason for chosing these teams were becouse they have lots of finnish and icelandic players !? Anyway Bolton lined up a rather cower-tactic with 5-3-2. Preston (me) lined up a 3-5-2 with fast striker Gunnlaugsson as the one to make goals. The match became a fight between Gunnlaugsson and the Bolton-keeper (Jaaskelainen). He made some marvelous saves and was without a doubt man of the match. I made two quick goals but then came a terrible sending off by the ref. Without any reason at all he showed my player a red card after just 22 minutes... Maybe it was a freekick but no more. I decided to keep playing the match and I manage to score three more goals with just 10 men. "Attack is best defence" So I got 5-0, my oponent Lowrence made a 6-0 he has told at Swos Witnesses. This means I have now lost 2 games and won 1 game. Division 2 is harder than Division 4 (the div I was in last season). But it's just like it should be ! I believe I have met three good players and hopefully I will have some less good players to face later (no names :-) ). An epiolog will be a irritating thing that happen a day after "deadline". I was about to watch some hil-files and then I though... Just play it one time and see what score I get now when it doesn't matter. It started off very good with goals three goals in first half. When I scored 4-0 in beginning of second half I was thinking, shall I play on and maybe get 6-0 or 7-0 ? No I didn't, I pressed ESC and turned the computer off ! I mean why risk to get a higher score when I can't use it ? New story in a week ! "Top of the page"

Slol has been cancel for some weeks due to boring stuff ! Reason number 1 is that several players have dropped out of Slol. Why noone knows maybe they had no time for Slol. Reason number 2 is that it has been know, some people has been cheating to get better scores. Becouse of all this mess Lowrence has been forced to re-design the groups and take in some new players. In English this means that I have been "promoted" to Div 2. That was the good news ! The bad news is that I have lost one match (the first). Match 1 I was supposed to play against Skyclad and I won that match 5-2, but now I played it against Prish instead and lost 5-8. Now to Second Round. The match was played beween; Olympiakos (player) Vs. Manchester United (computer). United played like a away-team with a defending-tactic. Olympiakos was (just like United) updated to 00-01-squads. But noone in Olympiakos was very high-rated. Giovanni and Pär Zetterberg was the best players. I played a 3-5-2 - line-up with all players as they was from the beginning except for Zetterberg that I put up as top-forward. This was a "lucky-move" becouse he was brilliant and made two fantastic goals and one "ordinary" goal. Giovanni made the other two goals. The best reslut in whole Slol this round was 7-0 and I had 5-0. I'm very proud of my reslut, in all my other tries I had only 2-0 or 3-1-results. My oponent this round was Plamen of Bulgaria. He had a 4-0-result, this means I won a 5-4. In next round I will face Lowrence, I hope to be able to get my old keyboard back becouse I won't be able to make good reslut with my new keyboard (to short time to get used to it). Last round (9) is now played ! This round I think would have been better as a "cup-draw" but, it was used for this (last) round. The two teams Alaves (player) and Kaiserslauten (again) (computer) (again). I think the reason why Alaves has reach so far in Uefa-cup is becouse they have no "big stars", they have instead a team with good players that work for each other and noone is "better" than anyone else. Kaiserslauten I've al ready written about in round 5, but this time I'll write about the Kaiserslauten today and not the team of 96/97. Once again it looks like they aren't ready to face a team that they think will be a easy match ! I can't imagine they will win after the 5-1 crash in Spain. I made the best result in the last round (typical !) for the first time in my slol-history I made a two-punts score 10 - 0 ! That should be enough to make the third place but I'm a bit worry about the score from round 8, but a 4-0 should be enough in that round ! Don't you think ? (I spoke to Lowrence man in charge of Slol) and he had "only" a 1-0 in round 8 (he had lack of time, but who hasn't ?). Well this may have been the last story for "Slol 2:nd season" but maybe it'll be another story if I have to play a play-off-match. There has been a brake in the "Slol-league" for one week, therefore I couldn't write a story last week. But now the "Slol" is back and that means I'm back with another story ! This time around it was game between two teams out of Europe, Urawa Rods (player) and Atletico Mineiro (computer). Mineiro is among the 10 best team in Swos, and Urawa is average team. Urawa has (like all Japanese teams) a team of japanese and three (foreign) "stars". When J-league started every team needed some "stars" (old europeans that didn't took a place in any good european league). Urawa signed Michael Rummenigge, Guido Buchwald and Uwe Bein. In my opinion they are not "stars" just names to show for the fans. They where about to quit playing football and then they heard of J-league and thought "why not go there and makes some extra millions before quit !". Anyway I'll tell how I lined up Urawa; In goal Ota was given !, I played a 4-4-2 this time so the defence was as follow; Cho as RB, Taguchi as LB, Hori and Motoyoshi as central-defenders, Kikihura as RW, Buchwald as LW and central- midfielders Sugiyama and Hosaka and forwards Bein and Rummenigge. Noone in Urawa has very good finish and three of four forwards has a 2 or 3 in every skill, not very impressive. The result could there- fore not be so high :-) Well, in my first day of trying to get a high score I made only a 2-0, in the second day I made a 3-0 and in my third try I made a 4-0, unfortunally this was on Sunday so I had no more day of tries, who knows maybe I had got a 29-0 in the end of the month :-) I think 4-0 is enought to beat Nuggett becouse he is in "no mans land". He can't be relegated and he can't be promoted. I still have chance to be promoted but I almost blew it two rounds ago when I "only" got a draw against CrisUk. Pupke manage to beat CrisUk and therefore I could pass CrisUk but at the same time Pupke passed me :-( so now the table is like this; Enigma is first on 16 p (have a walk-over + Cheezy left), Pupke is second on 16 p (have a walk-over + Nuggett left), Me (Aston) is third on 15 p (have Nuggett and Dr Strop left), CrisUk is on fourth place with 13 p (have Cheezy + Sorriso left), I think all the fourth first (Enigma, Pupke, Aston and CrisUk) will win their matches so I don't think there will be any changes in the league. If I'm right that would mean, Enigma and Pupke will be promoted to Div 3, I will play a "play-off-match" against number 8 in Div 3 (now Spooky is on that spot), no matter what it will be very exciting to follow ! |

This time it was a really hard round ! Hajduk Split - Barcelona, Hajduk have not a very good team. Oke they have some national players (for Croatia) and two African players. But those sucks. Renato Jurcic is the best player in Hajduk but his skills, are FHT (finish, head, tackling) and his shoot and speed don't excist. I didn't preform well this time, I can't say anything about it ! It's just a fact ! I wish I had something to blaim it on, but I don't. One thing I can "blaim" it on, is that I play with my keyboard and no joystick or gamepad, but that's no reason why I didn't made a better match. So now to the result, I got only a 3-0 but I'm not sure if it will be accepted. Because I forgot to save the "highlight-file". I haven't cheated because I don't like to cheat and even if I had thought of it I think it's impossible to do it ! Anyway I made a 2-0 result as well and this time I remembered to save my "hightlight-file". I hope my 3-0 will be accepted but I think I'll lose this round anyway. I hope I will do a better result next round until.... take care people ! Next round there will be a new story that you can read ! Yesterday (2001-02-15) I downloaded the file for second round of SLOL, but I had no time to play it because I was busy. Anyway I played it today instead and now I'm really happy I did it because I got a great result in my first try ! The teams this time was Liverpool (player/me) vs Juventus (computer). Both teams are really good in Swos. I played with Fowler and Collymore on top, Barnes and Redknapp in the middle, Berger to the left and Mcmanaman stayed to the right. In defence I had Babb moved out to the left because he has rather good speed and I needed him there. Rightback Mcateer stayed, "Razor" Ruddock and Wright as defenders. So that was the team, now to the match :) I started excellent with a Fowler-goal after just 4 min and then I got another Fowler-goal just some minutes later (Peruzzi must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed !). Then I had a good chance when Collymore was kick-down in the penalty-area, but stupid as I was I let "Stan-The-Man" take the penalty himself, as you might have got al ready he missed it ! Or to be honest Peruzzi made a superb stop ! But no crying, Fowler was in a very very good mode and he kept score and score and score.... :) In half-time the score was 7-0 to Liverpool against Juventus (see picture). In secondhalf Juventus got themself together and Peruzzi made some excellent saves. Vieri also had some good chances but James was good today and kept the goal free from goals ! I only made one goal in second half, but I really happy with the result 8-0 ! (oh I think I should say that I got one more penalty but this time Fowler, took it and shoot the ball like a bazooka in the goal !).  Next round there will be a new story that you can read !
